Scudiero

I tried to get scudiero.com, but it has been taken for years by a band in Sweden.

Scudiero is Italian for squire.

My biological father was a Scudiero. From what I understand, his parents immigrated to America from Naples.

Napoli, that is. Italy, not Florida.

So, I'm half pure second-generation Italian-American.

A note about the pronunciation. The correct pronunciation is skoo-dee-air-oh. Americanized pronunciation is skuh-dero. There is no way to possibly get skuh-dare-ee-oh, but that is actually the most common mispronunciation. I try to be polite, but really, I wonder how ignorant one has to be to transpose that many letters in their best attempt at pronunciation.

Am thinking I can do all my family-related posting here.

Peace
